Reverend Vanessa Guest


Vanessa Guest was born on July 24th, 1970 to Mr. John Guest and Mrs. Vera L. Guest in Kew
Gardens, NY.  Vanessa has attended Community Baptist Church in Bayside New York since she
was born and was baptized and became a member in December 1977.  Vanessa joined the New
Light Missionary Baptist Church on September 10, 2000.  

Vanessa attended St. Pascal Baylon Elementary School, and then went on to Robert F. Kennedy
Incentive Program for gifted students in Brooklyn NY.  Upon graduation Vanessa attended
Hillcrest High School where she performed for three consecutive years with the New York City,
All-City High School Chorus sponsored by the Daily News. She then graduated with honors and a
NYS Regents diploma in 1988. Vanessa obtained employment at the Social Security
Administration in 1991, and then received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration from the City University of New York at York College in 1993. Vanessa also
attended Outreach Training Institute in Richmond Hill NY and received a Professional Diploma in
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling making her eligible as a Certified Alcohol and
Substance Abuse Counselor.  

Currently, Vanessa in employed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a
Federal Investigator and is in attendance at the Alliance Theological Seminary/New York City
campus pursuing two Master Degrees: Master of Divinity in Urban Studies and a Master of
Professional Studies in Urban Ministry.

Vanessa has one daughter Noni Celine Guest-Murphy, mother, Vera Guest, two brothers:
Jeremy Guest and John Guest Jr., a sister-in-law, Glynis Guest, and one niece, Jonae Guest.
